Wild Blue Skies Achievements and Trophies

Wild Blue Skies ships 22 achievements on Steam and a matching 1,000 Gamerscore set on Xbox Series. They are the cleanest official checklist the game published at launch: training, letters, ribbons, named stage homework, Grimclaw beats, and a handful of joke or patience trophies. This page lists every name and description we can source from Steam’s global stats page and Xbox achievement text. Where a Steam title exists without a public description in the scrape, we pair it with the Xbox wording that matches rarity and theme — and we say so.

Use this with the Mission List, WILD Letters, and Medal Checklist. The Digital Foundry interview below is not a trophy guide; it is the developers explaining why corridor stages, all-range fights, and a hard path exist — context for Ace Pilot.

Story and training

Now THAT’S Teamwork!	Defeat Grimclaw without any allies falling.

Training is the freebie (most of Steam had it within a day). The finale cluster is the opposite: Ash Cloud and teamwork sit in the low single digits. Fly the Walkthrough conservatively if you want Teamwork on the same run as the story credits.

Medals, ribbons, and 100%

Achievement	How it unlocks
W-I-L-D	Obtain a medal by collecting W-I-L-D during a mission.
Hot Shot	Obtain a ribbon by achieving a high score on a mission.
Decorated	Obtain medals in every mission.
Distinguished	Obtain ribbons in every mission.
Ace Pilot	Obtain medals and ribbons in every mission.

This is the real post-game. Letters are a crate-and-enemy hunt. Ribbons want charge combos, bonuses, and a ship that still has upgrades — see Score System and IGN’s warning about lives. Ace Pilot is both catalogs, not a secret boss.

Named-stage homework

Xbox text (and Steam titles that match) turn biomes into chores:

Steam’s public page hid a few descriptions behind login; we are not guessing flavor text. If a client shows a different pairing, trust the in-game tracker. The behaviors are what matter for routing.

Combat jokes and patience trophies

Blue Bomber	Destroy 10 enemies with a single bomb.
Pacifist	Defeat a boss without destroying any other enemies.
Friendly Fire	Shoot down Chuck, Roe, and Thorne during a mission.
Left on Read	Ignore Grimclaw’s call.
Time For a Little Payback	Watch Chuck defeat Wartle in a dogfight.

Friendly Fire fights every escort medal — do it on a replay you do not care about. Payback is the opposite of greed: let Chuck finish Wartle. Pacifist is a Beat Bosses puzzle. Left on Read is a dialogue skip, not a DPS check. Blue Bomber wants a stacked bomb in a dense wave, not a finale panic.

Practical 100% order

1. Jill’s Training and a story clear with squad alive.
2. One WILD medal and one ribbon so you feel both tracks.
3. Named chores (Prowlers, Walkers, boulders, crystals, worm, waterfalls) on dedicated replays.
4. Joke trophies (Friendly Fire, Left on Read, Payback, Pacifist, bomb ten).
5. Decorated, Distinguished, then Ace Pilot.
6. Hard-path ending if you still have appetite — it is a campaign flag, not a twenty-third achievement name we can confirm.

Xbox Play Anywhere carries achievements between Xbox Series and Xbox on PC. Steam has its own 22. Switch in fall 2026 should be feature-complete; trophy lists may use Nintendo’s wrapper.
